Reader mode did not open

Wait for the web page to finish loading, then tap the reader icon at the right side of the address bar. Reader mode works only when Briteread can identify enough readable text. Pages protected by a paywall, login requirement, or site access restriction may remain available only as the original page.

The Reader text looks incomplete or incorrect

Open Reader settings and choose Report text issue. Include a short note about missing text, extra navigation, incorrect paragraph breaks, or another visible problem. Briteread does not need your password or payment information to investigate a Reader issue.

Reading List and reading progress

Briteread updates the latest chapter and reading position when you use Reader mode. Tap a Reading List item to continue. You can remove an item from the Reading List at any time.

Premium subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed and managed by the App Store or Google Play. Use the store account that made the purchase. If Premium does not appear after reinstalling or changing devices, open Profile and use Restore Purchases. Canceling stops future renewal; access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period.

Local data and account deletion

Guest reading history and preferences are stored on the device. You can clear Reading List history in the app. Signed-in readers can delete their account and associated cloud data directly in the app: open Profile, then choose Delete account and confirm. Deleting an account does not cancel an active store subscription; manage or cancel that subscription through the App Store or Google Play account that made the purchase.

Does Briteread download or provide books?

No. Briteread is a user-directed web reading utility. It does not publish books, provide a book catalog, bypass paywalls, or grant rights to third-party content. Reader mode temporarily changes the presentation of pages you can already access.
