Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Briteread. By using the app, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Briteread.

1. The service

Briteread provides an in-app browser, search-engine selection, temporary reader-mode extraction, reading navigation, local resume history, free reading time, rewarded reading time, and optional Premium subscriptions. Features may change as the service develops.

2. Third-party websites and content

Briteread does not publish, host, license, or control the books, chapters, search results, websites, or advertisements you open. Reader mode changes presentation for temporary on-device reading; it does not transfer ownership or grant permission to copy, download, redistribute, bypass access controls, or infringe copyrights. You are responsible for following applicable law and each website's terms. Briteread may decline to extract or display a page.

3. Acceptable use

You may not misuse Briteread, interfere with the service, automate abusive requests, evade reading-time or reward controls, submit fraudulent purchase or ad events, reverse engineer protected service components except where law permits, or use Briteread to violate another person's rights.

4. Free use and rewarded time

Free reading allowances reset according to the schedule shown in the app and do not roll over unless expressly stated. Verified rewarded ads may add bonus reading time. Reward amounts, availability, eligibility, and ad frequency may change. Rewards have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be corrected when an ad event cannot be verified or abuse is detected.

5. Premium subscriptions

Monthly and yearly Premium subscriptions provide the benefits shown at purchase, currently including unlimited ad-free reading without the daily reading-time limit. Prices and billing periods are displayed before purchase. Payment is charged by Apple, Google, or another store provider. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through the store account before the renewal deadline shown by that provider. Store rules govern billing, cancellation, taxes, refunds, trials, and restoration. Deleting Briteread does not cancel a subscription.

6. Availability and changes

Third-party sites may block browsing, extraction, caching, or navigation. Briteread does not promise that every site or chapter will work or remain available. We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue features to protect users, comply with law, address provider changes, or improve the service.

7. Intellectual property

Briteread's software, interface, brand, and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party content remains the property of its respective owner. Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used to improve Briteread without an obligation to compensate you.

8. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Briteread is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Briteread and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, lost access, or losses caused by third-party websites, stores, ad providers, or network services. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Briteread at any time and can delete a signed-in account in Profile. Deleting an account does not cancel an active store subscription. We may suspend access to cloud, reward, or subscription-related services when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or service integrity. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.

11. Platform terms and changes

Your use of Briteread is also subject to applicable Apple App Store or Google Play terms. We may update these Terms as the service or law changes. Continued use after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
